MP3 Player

At the start of 2002 I started a project to make an aesthetically pleasing MP3 Player, the Aural Decipher, for use in my room. It took about 10 months to complete. Unknown to me at the time, I was later commissioned by the magazine Atomic to write a three part tutorial on how I made it. The results of this project can be seen below.

Atomic Articles

In early 2003, my MP3 player was scene in the hot box of the month section of the Atomic magazine. It generated a wealth of interest as to how I went about constructing my PC modification, so the editor contacted me asking if I was willing to write a tutorial on how I went about making the Aural Decipher MP3 Player. In the end the tutorial spaned 3 issues and appeared in the 26, 27 and 28th issues.

Along with the honour of appearing in the Atomic magazine, the readers also voted my MP3 player as the Hot Box of the Month and Year.
